The bigger one is the later one, but I’m going to talk about it first because I’m most excited about it, okay?
Okay. I knew you’d see things my way.
This July (it’s looking like July 1st even!), I’m releasing my first novel (well, first novel that you get to read), Flight of Blue. It’s the first book in a trilogy called the Keeper of the Keys Chronicles, and I’m so totally excited about it. If you sign up for my very occasional updates (email newsletter), you’ll receive notice about giveaways and release dates and specials (Psst! There will be some $0.99 days for the ebook as a promotion right after it comes out…)
If you like to review books and would like to receive an advance readers copy (paperback, and yours to keep so long as you post a review on Amazon and Goodreads (if you’re on there you can shelve the book now!), contact me.
Okay, enough on that! On to the next thing…
The next new thing that’s less exciting, but still cool, and happening sooner is that I’m going to do the April A to Z blogging challenge. Basically, you post a blog post a day on something that starts with the letter of the alphabet every day except Sundays. Of course, this year, April 1 is a Sunday, so there will be a post then, but not for the subsequent four Sundays.
What that looks like for Wayfaring Artist is this: I’ll be posting 3 picture only posts and 3 content posts each week, because even I don’t want to read my own blog every day, so I don’t figure you do either ;-). So Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays will be picture posts (And tomorrow too!) and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays will be content posts.
My overall theme is everyday art, just as my blog is about that, so my goal is to post a pic of a letter for each day, regardless of the post, that shows where I’ve seen the letter in an ordinary object, from around my house or my town.
Tuesdays and Thursdays will be posts like you’ve been seeing, recipes, projects, gardening, green living, randomness from my brain and so forth.
Fridays I’ll be participating in Five Sentence Fiction, a great flash fiction exercise started by the lovely Lillie McFarrin, and I’ll be using a prompt that starts with whatever letter that Friday falls on. I’ll be posting on my new blog for my author site, but I’ll link to the post here so it’ll be easy to hop over from this blog or this blog’s feed or email subscription.
Okay! I think that’ll about do it… Anyone want to jump into the April A to Z challenge? Leave me a comment and let me know so I can read your posts too!!
