I recently participated in a Blogger Book Fair, the first ever, with over 40 other authors and 70 books being showcased over this past weekend. It was loads of fun, and an awesome way to connect with other amazing writers.
Part of the fair was a Reader’s Choice Awards, and Flight of Blue was entered in both the Young Adult and Fantasy categories, and much to my delight, not only fared pretty well coming in second in Young Adult behind Wynne Channing’s What Kills Me, but tied for 1st with S.M. Boyce’s Lichgates, which I’ve read and loved! I’m also looking forward to reading What Kills Me when all this awesome launch stuff settled down.
So I’m amazed and excited and I want to extend big thank you hugs to all of you who’ve been so supportive as Flight of Blue has launched, and who voted for it in the Reader’s Choice awards.
So in a world of virtual launch parties and blog book tours, author Kayla Curry had an idea: Why not have a blogger book fair? And so it began!
I’m beginning to post occasional reviews, interviews, and/or author spotlights on my personal blog, but only of books that I have really enjoyed, and thus think that you all might enjoy as well. Specifically, most of the books I’ll be featuring will be from indie authors, although I won’t be leaving out any of my traditionally published friends whose work I enjoy either.
In that vein, I wanted to make you all aware of the Blogger Book Fair coming to Wayfaring Artist over the next 4 days, and I’m hosting 3 other authors that I’m very excited about!
Flight of Blue has also been entered in the running for two awards, best in fair for Fantasy and Young Adult. There’s more info about that on my other post, so head over to that post and check out the info! I’ll be linking from here every day as well, so regardless of where you tune in, you’ll be connected.
